Titans Vs. Falcons Aug 26, 2006

Tyler and I scored some tickets through work to go to the Titans games. We got to sit in the HCA suite. Even though the Titans suck, we ate and drank enough to make it worth wild. Tyler nailed a few hotdogs, dozen strawberrys, several cokes, some cookies and some grapes. I took on a lot of wings and chicken tenders. All and all a good night.

Big T's a 1st Grader Now!

Can you believe it? Master T is in first grade. T-Diddy is no longer the new man on campus. He knows the ropes and walked down the first grade hall with pride! Mama only cried for a minute but I pulled it together long enough to snap some photos. Poor Abbe Mae cried for a while once she realized he was staying and she was leaving (don't worry little girl, you start PDO on 9/11!). Although today was only a 1/2 day, it was successful. T-bag has several kids in his class from last year so he was excited. His teacher seemed nice enough but I hope to get the scoop from the neighborhood moms later today.

Only problem was I thought they finished at 11 am (but they finished at 11:30) so we were at the bus stop at 11:05 just in case they got there early. Unfortunately, they run pretty late on the first day of school so he finally arrived at quarter after 12. But I knew that cause I already called the school and Metro Transportation people freakin' out about my child!!

Dear Jimmy: Please Come Home

I remember back in the days when I was courting Jennifer. Her mom would cook big meals whenever we could come over. Steak, Ham.. big chocolate cakes. Those days are gone. Now we get left overs and stuff thats been in the freezer to long. Women, I given you 3 grandchildren. I moved her daughter out their bonus room. For all I have done...

Now, when Jimmy comes home (jens brother)he gets multiple cakes, fancy steak with the bacon wrapped around it. Shopping trips..and he gets to sleep in the big bed and dont get yelled at when he doesnt't make the bed.

Jimmy, please come home so I can eat again.

If your going to fall -- Let go of the straps!

I went on my first lake trip today. Yes, I know it's August but since I have small children I don't get out often. The girls went off to spend a day with their grandparents and Tyler and I went to the lake to meet the crew. As we were waiting on the dock for Mr. Mike to come pick us up, Tyler looked at me with a frightened look on his face. "Mommy," he said, "I think my tooth is going to come out!" Sure enough it did. He lost his first tooth today!

Now back to the lake. As we waited for Mr. Mike to come get us, Jason and Dan pull up on the jet skis. We hop on and it was a blast! We cruised around the lake and I even tried to drive for a bit. Now those of you that have met me know that I'm a pretty tall glass of water. As a matter of fact, I could probably go toe-to-toe with Jason and I think I could kick his ass (but that's neither here nor there). So imagine me, him and our little rag doll Tyler on the jet ski. Picture us flying across the lake and as we hit a wave almost take out all three of us. I had my hand weaved in Jason's jacket so he screams, "If your going to fall - let go of the straps!" Yeah right, I'm not going down by myself.

We cruised, swam, Tyler and Dan jumped from cliffs, Mr. Mike made some burgers and finally Tyler saw some ta-tas. He was just giddy about the whole thing.

All in all it was an excellent day.

BBQ Recap

BBQ #2 was great! We decided to beat the heat and hang out inside so it ended up being more of an "Abbe party". We had great smoked ham, ribs, beer butt chicken, fajitas and lots of other stuff. There was enough food here to feed a small army!! Then we had sugar free pudding snacks and birthday cake. I'd officially like to declare Bulldog as the PARTY KING. A party just isn't a party without the British Bulldog there (see you next month Bulldog!). And just for the record Cotton did not show because he's apparently too good for the East side. I'm also expecting an invitation to the 'Boro soon. Rodney asked if we would really come. Is he kidding? It's not often we get invited anywhere!

Thanks to everyone for coming. It was fun as always!!

Mr. MIke @ The Lake

Met Mr. Mike out at the lake this eveing. He treated us to his floating coleman float fresh from a patch job. Although it was a sausage fest we all had a good time.

Some sad news.. cottons barge was sold this eveing within 6 hours of listing on Craigs List. I should have negotitated a better selling fee for myself. We look foward to his new purchase coming soon.
