We've had about 17 showings

And still no offers. It's hard. It's hard remaining excited. It's hard keeping the house clean. It's hard keeping calm about the entire process. With so many people coming through and no buyers, it worries me. Why don't they like my house? What's so wrong with my neighborhood? What's out there that's better??

Thank GOD I have the best Realtor in the world. She lets us call her a million times a day and even takes me to scope out the competition.

Our world

I just don't know what to think about our world these days. I haven't had the opportunity to "blog" only because I've been so wrapped up in my world lately.

At about 10:30 this morning, I was in new hire orientation giving my speech on work place violence and harassment. Only to come out around lunch to hear about the tragic news of Virginia Tech. Makes me wonder about society. Makes me wonder about the safety of our children. Makes me wonder if I will ever be able to let my children go out into the real world. I just want to hold on to them tight. The people killed probably woke up this morning and rushed to class -- hating the fact that it was Monday. Wondering why they signed up for an early morning class. Their parents went to work, just as they have every other day since their child went off to college. The teachers at the campus just doing their job. A regular day. I wonder if they had the chance to say a last "I love you"? If they had the opportunity to mend broken fences? Or if they understood what was happening? Now there are 32 people dead, 32 children, brothers, sisters, friends, sons, daughters - all dead. Now they are releasing names and pictures of the victims and it makes it all more real. All more sad. But still hard to understand. I refuse to let society ruin my children. I refuse to let the music get to them. The crazed cartoons. The violent video games. The friends with non-existent parents. I can at least protect them from that.

One of the professors that was killed was a "Holocaust survivor". He was an accomplished professor and publisher. Puts things in prospective a bit. To live through the Holocaust but to die at work, teaching and protecting your students.

We are all too vulnerable. Vulnerable to society.

One week

and four showings. No offer. Since this weekend is Easter, we are not expecting anything to happen. I'd like this all to be over.

It's hard keeping this house clean and listen to Jason complain about there being no offers. STRESS.
