Inside the house...

Inside the house

First picture looking outside the dining room.. two lights on either side of the window..

Second picture going upstairs, looking across the bonus room at Tylers Room (left door) and his bathroom (right door)

Third.. master bedroom. This is the wall at the foot of our bed. It has all the cables (HDMI, Componnent, SVGA) and power for my plasma screen to be hung. The speaker wires are in the wall for the left, center and right speaker. The rear left and right speakers are in the wall at the head of the bed. Recessed speakers will get installed. Theres also 4 recessed lights below the tray celing (two at the foot of the bed, two and the head of the bed) on a dimmer switch to set the mood ;)

House Update

Getting closer... the brick is up in the front and they are starting to brick the side. The electric is in and inspected. I insulated the utility room and the fronts of the bedroom to keep the sound down. I spent today finishing up the insulation on the garage.

To date:
I have run :
750 ft of 16 gauge speaker wire
850 ft of CAT 5 cable
500 ft electric wire

Next steps .. insulator's should be here this week, followed by the drywallers.. after the drywallers are finished ill cut the holes in the ceiling for my recessed speakers in the living and dining room.

Great gift idea

I wish I would've discovered this site before Christmas. I'm frantically looking at my calendar now to figure out who I can buy these for. I think they are great!

Anniversary and Birthday

Man, what a miserable week or so I've been having. Everything going on with my Uncle and family has been horrible.

Then to top it all off, Monday was our anniversary and Tuesday my 35th birthday. You guessed it, I got nothing for either one. No card, no gift, no backrub, no nothing. Tyler puked his guts out all night Monday night so all day Tuesday I tended to him and Olivia. I did buy myself a cake, but I had to clean up the mess everyone made eating it. Just another day I guess.

Strip Club

JoJo took us to the strip club. She had to see her favorite stripper, Mariah. First time I've been to one and I wasn't overly impressed. Jason said cause it was in Wisconsin....lol. Aunt Kathy was getting business cards from pimps. Gregg's broke ass was getting lapdances from strippers. Joann, the makeout bandit was on the loose. We went out to take our mind off of the death of my uncle. He was probably cracking up at our behavior. :)

It's 2008

I must be getting old (obviously) but the new year is not exciting in any way. Resolutions? No, don't stick to them. 2007 better than 2008? I really don't have anything to complain about in 2007 so it doesn't matter much. Either way it's just a new year.

I remember the days when a new dress and new shoes were a must for the new year. Outfit would have to be perfect, along with the hair, etc. Where plans would be in the works weeks in advance as to where we'd hang out and who'd I'd be next to to ring in the new year. Days where money and time were no object, didn't have to answer to anyone or worry about the kids waking up.

These days, I'm grumpy the grocery store closes early and that everyone has been off of work/school for what seems to be forever. I trick the kids into thinking the new year starts on EST so I can go to sleep at 11 pm instead of 12.

It's not that I'm bitter or upset, it's just that December 31 is really no different than January 1. So with that - HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!
