Eating Out

We eat out waaaaay too much. Probably 5 to 6 times a week. We ate out last night, this morning and this evening. Oh, Thursday Jason and the kids ate out as well. It's a bad habit and we need to stop.

But who has time to cook? With me working now and my drive, I'm getting home late and the kids are hungry. Any ideas on quick, yummy meals?

Baseball

Tyler started baseball this year. He's played t-ball in the past, but this is baseball. And these folks are serious. They have tryouts and a draft. It's not the YMCA where they don't keep score. It's the real deal.

I didn't get to go to his first practice cause I had a work function on Thursday night. On my way home, I call and ask Jason how he did. Honestly, I was a bit worried. I mean he can throw, catch, run and all that good stuff, but again, these guys are serious.

Jason was honest and said he did okay. He asked me not to give him the pep talk I gave in basketball a few years ago and that they asked him to practice some more. The next morning I said to Tyler, "I heard you did well at practice last night!" and he responds, "Mommy, I know your just saying that to make me feel better. I sucked."

This is going to be really interesting!

Blue and Gold Ceremony

Tyler had his Boy Scout ceremony this evening. It was very nice. He recieved his badges he earned this year and was promoted to the next level. It's amazing that my little boy has been doing this for three years now.

Next weekend is the Pinewood Derby car race. Jason and Tyler have cut out the car and I believe put one coat of paint on it. Two years ago, Tyler won a plaque for "best design" so he has a reputation to protect.

Hopefully we'll post pictures soon!

A little bit of everything

Let me see. Olivia and Abbe Mae were sick last weekend. I'm sick this weekend. Whatever they had, I think I have. I've been on the couch since Friday night. Thankfully, last night, my husband drugged me up and put me to bed around 9 pm. I slept all night! And a good sleep too.

Jason picked up Abbe Mae's little friend and took all three girls to the mall today. I was shocked. I didn't feel well so he wanted to keep them out of my hair. They had Burger King, a ride on the carousel and a massage in the big black chairs. What a good Daddy he is!

It's cold in Nashville this week. Freezing cold. All week. And it feels colder when your sick.

Trying to plan two birthday parties next month. A lot going on with my trip to Miami, Jason's busy schedule and Tyler starting baseball. I've almost got the parties nailed down. Olivia turns 3 on March 15 and Tyler turns 9 on March 29. Oh yeah, we also have two weeks of Spring Break sometime this month that I have to find a sitter for. Greaaaaat.

Tomorrow I'm leaving work early to take Abbe to the pediatric dentist. She has a cavity. It's been bothering her and we had a regular cleaning this last Wednesday and they said it's definitely a cavity and it needs to be worked on. Mom of the Year, that's me. Not looking forward to that bill.

Jason and my dad are going to see the WWE Wrestling show tomorrow night at the Sommet Center. You know, cause they are such huge wrestling fans.

This is our life!

New outfits I made, new technique Sallie turned me on too. Olivia was sleeping when I took pictures. These are their Valentine Day outfits.

Valentine's Day

Special day for the B-Crew. We got fancied up and went to Habatchi. Daddy met us up there with gifts for the kids. Girls got stuffed puppies and Tyler got a Boy Scout water cooler thing. It was a good day.

Valentine's Day

So my husband, the loving and thoughtful man he is, gave me the credit card for Valentine's Day. His exact words were, "I didn't get you any thing for your anniversary, birthday or Valentine's day, so go wild. I don't even care how much, just do it. This is your chance."

So I sit back and think a) who is this man and what have they done with my husband? b) what did he buy to justify this for me? and c) what the heck am I going to buy?

I really don't have any thing I want to buy. Nothing that's been pulling at my purse strings at all. Now I know why Harold and Sallie don't exchange gifts, cause you just buy what you want when you want it. Right?

I started to think, what is it I really want. There are two things that I'd like to purchase: a new watch and some more bling for my wedding ring. I've really wanted a Tag watch for a long time. Years and years. The one with the diamonds around the edge. So I was browsing the internet for one and Jason didn't even flinch at the price. The only thing he said was, "Now maybe you can get rid of old Raymond Weil you have." Not totally sold on the idea of investing in a watch, I started to browse new ring sets.

I found a few that I like, but looking at them made me realize how much I really love the ring set I have now. Sure, I'd love more bling but my ring I have now is a beauty. It's a plain solitaire and I think I'm going to leave it alone.

So, my husband is getting off easy. I don't have the balls to buy a Tag. I've decided against the ring thing. I don't need another purse. Not sure on any household needs or furniture I like, so I'm just going to pass. I'll tuck the credit card safely back into the lock box and maybe pick myself up a nice blouse after I take the kids to a fancy restaurant for V-day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Sick

The girls are SICK. Really sick. I haven't seen them this sick in a while. It's a viral/stomach/croup thing. We have cough medicine and steriod medicine to help fix them up. That is, if I can get it in them.

Poor Abbe Mae is the worst. She hasn't been to school in two days and even missed her Valentine party today. I'm hoping they get better soon. I hate seeing them like this.

Odds and ends

Been collecting a few items of the past few weeks. Kinda manly items. First of, nailed a Glock 17 to shoot with the boys, also nailed a Hobart Welder. Welder you ask? Well why not.

She went to work late this morning, as i was leaving for another long day.. she said "Man, why did I go back to work". She was laying on the couch playing notebook. I told her she better get her ass to work, I got a taste of the cash, all about Guns, Sex and Welders. Its 7 pm, and shes still working.. or with her boyfriend. Two out of three aint bad I suppose.
