UP!

Took the kids to see UP today. By far, the best movie Disney has made in years. YEARS! I loved it!!

Go see it. If you have little kids, the 3-D may be a bit much because of the dog scenes. But the color and story line were great. It's amazing what one can do with imagination!

Ahhhh I love 9 year olds!!

Tyler: Mommy, do you think I can do some chores to earn some money?

Me: *GLOWING!!* Why I think that's a fantastic idea! What were you thinking?

Tyler: The dishes? Can you show me how to put the dishes in the dishwasher and put them away.

Y'all, I had a tear in my eye I was so proud!!! This could be the BEST DAY EVER!!!

Surgery

I hate posting about myself, but I will. I had to have a laproscopic surgery yesterday on my ovaries and uterus. Damn c-sections. I'm okay, a bit sore cause I have a few incisions. The "H" word may be in my very near future. Today and tomorrow I'm laying in the bed, relaxing. I'll tell you what hurts too is my throat and chest from the tube, that almost feels as bad as my abdomen.

But I'm really drugged up so hopefully this too shall pass.

20,000 Hits

Over 20,000 hits on our blog! We did not initially have the tracker set up when we first started blogging so I'm sure there are more. I just wish I was witty enough to reach the million mark with advertising and such like some famous bloggers do.

Hannah Montana

Hannah is big in our house. The CD, the movie, the games, the television show. While I was shopping at Disney online, I bought up a few fun items for the girls. The glasses and mullet-type wigs are Hannah Montana gear. BTW Disneyshopping.com has some of the best deals around.

I have the best of both worlds with these two.

Ahhhhhh Sleep

My precious, vivacious little girls have finally gone to sleep. The last few days have been tough on us. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's their hormones. Maybe the long summer days with lots of outside play. Maybe because it's the end of Abbe's school year. Or maybe, it's just because they are girls. Whatever the case, they have been full of fire and spice. Attitude galore. They wake up arguing with each other.

But here they are, snoozing away in my bed while Jason and Tyler are at Little League.

Wedding Dress

I think I may bust it out and wear it to work tomorrow. It's a shame something so pretty can only be worn once. But who says that???

Notice my fire horns in this picture. If Jason would have noticed this before, maybe he wouldn't of married me.

Update

M said I need a serious update on my blog. Here goes!

1. My poor boy is sick. The school nurse called me a work and said he had a swollen gland and wasn't feeling well. I was sure he had strep throat (cause I did last Saturday - see next post) so Jason ran him to the doctor. I knew Tyler had to be feeling bad cause the kid has been working on perfect attendance all year. There have been days when I told him to sleep in cause he wasn't feeling 100% and he refused. So for him to go to the nurse, he was hurting. Thank goodness he did. He has mastoiditis. My poor boy. It is a pretty serious infection so he got two shots, antibiotics and a follow up appointment tomorrow.

2. Last Saturday I was sicker than a dog. I swore I had swine flu. I ended up going to the Walgreen's clinic. Thankfully, it wasn't swine but strep. My lovely husband tended to the kids all day Saturday, but as any mother knows, I woke up to chaos on Sunday.

That leads me to post 3.

3. I cleaned and did laundry all day on Sunday. All day.

4. Today we had the Mother's Day Tea at Abbe Mae's school. The children were asked to dress fancy. We went and bought fancy dresses last night for Abbe Mae last night cause there was no dress code today for the Tea. And, of course, Olivia had to have a new dress even though she would not be attending the Tea. It was cute. While there, even though it was for Abbe Mae, I reflected back to when I went to Tyler's kindergarten Tea. I almost cried thinking about it. They grow so fast. We finish with the Tea and Abbe promptly tells me she wants go to her friend's house. But no, she had no choice to spend it with me!!

5. Work is keeping me busy. Tooooooo busy. Not enough hours in the day.

6. We haven't touched my craft room since the last post.

7. It's rained for weeks in Nashville.

8. I'm ready to decorate and paint my house but I have no time and fewer ideas. I'm over the white walls and we've hit our year mark so we had our drywall issues repaired.

9. Olivia is growning so fast. She's totally out of her toddler phase. She speaks in complete sentences and with deep thought.

10. Our weekends are booked for weeks. Some things I look foward too and others I don't.

And that's about it from our house!
